What To Expect

Demaniyat Islands are a unique natural reserve located in Wilayat Al-Seeb, in the Sultanate of Oman, about 18 kilometers off the coast of Barka. Its is composed of 9 islands spread over 250 acres of sea, rich in natural heritage, incredible coral reefs of varying kinds, unique and rare sea life, such as Turtles, and Whale sharks amongst others.

Home to these amazing creatures, it is also a magnet for many other amazing miracles of mother nature to migrate to seasonally. With crystal clear waters, endless rare sites and wondrous creatures it is nothing short of a heaven for snorkelers, divers and campers alike.

Al Alam Palace

Al Alam Palace, one of six sultanic residences of the monarch, has a history of over 200 years, and was built under the watch of Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, the 7th direct grandfather of Sultan Qaboos. The existing palace, which has a facade of gold and blue, was rebuilt as a royal residence in 1972. The inner grounds of the palace remain off-limits, but visitors are permitted to stop near the gates and take photographs. Al Alam Palace is surrounded by the Mirani and Jalali Forts built in the 16th century by the Portuguese.

The Palace is used for official functions and receiving distinguished visitors. In January 2012, the Sultan received Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands at Al Alam Palace during her state visit to Oman.

Wonderful opportunity to swim with turtles

Wonderful experience in the crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Oman. Swimming and snorkeling with the turtles was a great experience. We never felt rushed at either swim area and could take our time and enjoy the beautiful nature, then had a lovely beach bbq lunch at the end of the tour.

We really enjoyed the day - very well organized, on time, available. The team was super helpful, we saw 20 turtles and had the pleasure to spend 2 hours on the most beautiful beach in Oman with an amazing lunch. Definetely suggested!!

Assad and Mazen were 10/10 - in stearing the boat, talking to the guests, finding turtles (!) and even playing volleyball on the beach.

Would do it again, like one of the guests who said it was his 5th time

The tour was well worth the time and price. Our guide was informative, charismatic and engaging with the whole group. We saw many beautiful fish, turtles and a sea snake! The snorkeling was magnificent. 100% recommend.

A very nice trip. Fahad was an experienced and friendly guide to the diving grounds. The snorkeling was very interesting, with the backside of the island even more interesting than the front side. We saw turtles and lots of popular fish.
