Fantastic way to spend a day

Mohammad was a fantastic tour guide who gave a lot of detail and insight into the culture and history of Oman. If I was pressed to name a favourite moment, I would say the highlight of the day was the view at Diana's Point in Jebel Akhdar, but there really was not one part that I did not enjoy from wandering around the fortress to exploring the old village.
Would highly recommend this trip to everyone. The organisation was seamless and the service flawless.

A great day trip to towns, markets and mountains

This was the second tour on our trip in Oman with our guide Mr Juma al harthy. Once again he was so informative and attentive and really makes you feel like one of his family. A truly great guide if you are lucky enough to have him.
We started the day going round the markets / fort in Nizwa followed by a drive up into the mountains to Jebel Akhdar (which is a must see!)
This tour is great for anyone who wants to see different areas in Oman such as mountains or old towns or, wanting to buy and try some local produce / gifts whilst also seeing some traditional aspects at the same time.
Five stars all round.

An amazing day of incredible landscapes and fascinating cultural locations. Our guide, Ahmed was excellent, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. We are very pleased we decided to take this tour, with this company and to venture out of Muscat, the area exceeded all of our expectations and we will come back!

Excellent full day tour. Our driver and guide, Ahmed, was exceptional. We saw everything we expected and more. Overall we were out 10 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend.
Nizwa/Jabal al-Akhdar with Khaled

Khaled our tour guide was AMAZING! He was on time, interactive and knowledgeable (loved that he was a native the passion really showed). He’s well known in Nizwa so we got to interact with other natives / fort & souk staff, and he’s also really hospitable and kind hearted (bought us drinks and food along the way (where possible food and drink specific to Oman), which was so thoughtful).
The tour was well organised; we got to see Nizwa fort and souk (Khaled helped us pick out authentic gifts (halwa) for family and friends in the UK) Jabal al-Akhdar (where we got some beautiful pictures from the top of the mountain and Khaled treated us to grapes grown only in this area), and last stop was banana village (Birkat al Mowz) which was just lush!
Throughout the journey in the car, Khaled pointed out key areas of the city. He also passed on really useful tips on how to make the most of our time in Oman.
The whole tour had a lot of attention to detail so it truly outdid itself! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Amazing ride to the top. Need a 4 wheel drive to go so we decided to book a private tour with sunshine tours oman. Can do trecking also and it's good because the weather there is not hot unlike the city. Perfect scape from the hot weather in the Muscat. Nice view also. Our driver is professional and informative. Waleed at Sunshine Tours is the best!

We did two full day tours with Waleed at Sunshine and one half day tour with Ahmed. During all three, everything was amazing. Waleed is an amazing guide: friendly, knowledgeable and a person who will go out of his way to make sure you enjoy. On day one, we saw Wadi Shab + the Bimmah Sinkhole (make sure you bring water shoes for the Wadi - i did not know this was needed so Waleed went with us through the Wadi and to a local swimming cave even when many guides did not go with their people. Waleed helped us make it through some slippery areas and made sure we were comfortable and safe. I did it in flip flops - but a huge yes to water shoes in the future). The Wadi + the sinkhole were gorgeous. Then Waleed took us to a delicious restaurant. He ordered for us and we had some local fresh fish, rice + veggies (yummy). On the way home he stopped for us to see the Arabian Sea and some great views. On day two we went to Nizwa + Green Mountain. Waleed showed us around and stopped so many times to let us take photos and check out the view. He customized everything to us and made sure we were at the right places at the right times PLUS he knows everyone, so we got no pressure in the small shops we visited, we got delicious food like coconut, dates, halwa, king fish and more + with him we met so many lovely Omani people. On day three we were scheduled to leave early but our flight was delayed so Waleed arranged us a half day tour at the last minute with another guide, Ahmed. Ahmed was also fabulous. He took us to tour the grand mosque, the opera house and to experience a local Omani restaurant (per our request). We learned so much about the country of Oman, about the Omani people and their lives and traditions + I would highly recommend Sunshine Tours to anyone visiting Oman.
As a side note, I am a woman visiting from the US who was traveling with a female friend. For anyone else traveling like us I wanted to share that I did not known much about Oman prior to my visit and did not know what to expect. I was so pleasantly surprised by the country and it’s beauty + the people who were beyond amazing. I felt safe the entire time I was in Oman. The people were kind and welcoming a gracious + helpful at any time I needed it. I often travel without tours but as I do not k wi any Arabic I thought a tour would be best. Waleed made both myself and my friend feel like family, 100% safe and at home in his country. Ahmed also showed us things he loved in Oman like his favorite halwa and some traditional foods. Sunshine made our trip ten star.

Excellent experience with Khalil Al Jabri - the guide arrived exactly 5 minutes before the arranged time, bought us water and was very friendly and helpful with all the questions all day long, also told us a lot about the sites we visited
The sites were different from each other and each one interesting in its own way - you have a chance to taste local coffee and sweets at souk, see mountains and the fort, learn more about Oman recreation system
Totally advise to spend one day on this trip once you’re in Muscat!

I had the pleasure of going on a tour with Waleed of Sunshine Tours Oman in December 2023. This company came by word of mouth from a friend who has previously booked with them, and I have nothing but good things to say.
Waleed was a fantastic guide – he was knowledgeable about each of the sites we visited, adjusted our tour to help us see each of the sights we wanted, and helped us make the most of our limited time in Oman. Though usually prefer to explore on my own, I have never been happier with a guided tour and will absolutely recommend Sunshine Tours and Waleed in particular to every friend coming to Oman. It was a great value and a great tour. You won’t regret booking with them.

Yesterday we went to Jebel Akdar with my friends. Its nice to experience one of the beautiful mountain in Oman. We visited also some old villages in nizwa. We had great time exploring oman. Thanks to our guide
