Itinerary

  1. 1
    Wadi Shab

3 hr - The tour starts in the morning we'll leave Muscat towards Wadi Shab This Wadi is an enormous canyon gorge that is lined with palm trees and impressive indications of what the power of the water coming down from the mountains can do in nature, With 35 to 40-minute walk and hike up through the canyon Wadi (walking shoes or trainer are required), we arrive at one of crystal clear water pools. Tourists can swim through the warm waters from pool to pool. Eventually, we come to the last pool where an opening among the enormous rocks allows us to swim into an incredible crevice cave with a small waterfall. Inside, the sunlight filters in from the outside, turning the water into a beautiful turquoise blue whilst water showers down one side of the cave from the Wadi beyond after enjoying your time in the Wadi Shab, it’s time to have your lunch at a local restaurant.

  2. 2
    Bimmah Sinkhole

1 hr - From Wadi Shab on the way back to Muscat we make a stop at Bimmah sinkhole (swimming in the sinkhole lake is possible) Bimmah Sinkhole a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. A lake of turquoise waters, it is 50 m by 70 m wide and approximately 20 m deep. It is only about 600 m away from the sea, between the coastal towns of Dibab and Bimmah village. The sinkhole was formed by a collapse of the surface layer due to the dissolution of the underlying limestone. To preserve the sinkhole, the local municipality developed a park there. From Sinkhole we drive back to Muscat

Visit to Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole

A visit to Wadi Shab is a must-do while in Oman. It's one of the most lovely things we've ever seen! We had a fantastic day in paradise. Walking and climbing for 45 minutes may seem difficult, but our tour guide Salim made it look easy. We had a wonderful day with Salim our tour guide who took our family of four to Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, and we are grateful for his excellent service and willingness to share his knowledge and experience with us. We ate at a local restaurant for lunch. He picked us up from our hotel on time in a very comfortable car and made our journey enjoyable, especially since we were travelling with children. I'll be writing a full review on my website soon. We are definitely going to come back for more adventures. Thanks for organizing a wonderful trip, Kind Regards, Messymom.co

Wadi Shab Day Trip

Greetings All, We would like to thank you all for a fantastic day visiting both Al Shab and Mibam Wadies. It was really nice and my family (Deema, Zainab and Hashim) enjoyed it very much. Nasser was of great help and knowledgeable about the area. His attention to the fine details is absolutely fantastic. We have enjoyed every part of our trip and we had a great time. We are definitely going to come back for more adventures. Thanks dear Abdullah for organizing a wonderful trip, Kind Regards, Ghazi

To learn about the various planes in the lush valley

The trip was truly enjoyable. Our guide Khalid is kind and knowledgeable, punctual and responsible, and he helped carry my heavy rucksack all the way through... While we were enjoying our time, he also swam up the valley to collect rubbish left by tourists.. he tried his best to accommodate all our requests. I would highly recommend him and the tour

Excellent family day with Abdullah

We spent a great day with Abdullah, who took us (family of four) to Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole in December, 2019. He is a very friendly, experience guide and we are very grateful for his excellent service and for sharing his knowledge and experience with us. We had lunch in a local restaurant which was also delicious. He also took us on a short trip to the main spots in Muscat before taking us to the port to go back to our cruise. We highly recommend this excursion and this guide and tour operator. Muchas gracias from Spain, Abdullah!!! :-)

What an amazing day

Thank you Khliad for such a wonderful day. Our guide picked us up on time. We travelled in a very comfortable 4x4. Khliad proudly told lots about his country, shared some of his homemade Arabic coffee and dates with us and brought us to this amazing Wadi, I have to say it’s one of my best experiences, swimming between the mountains and into a cave with a waterfall in crystal clear water is hard to beat. We stopped in a small village for lunch which was excellent and only £10 for two and then onto Bimmah sinkhole for another swim. This is such a beautiful country with great people. Go with this company they were great.
